Reminder ads: appear in users’ feeds and give them the option to get reminders a day before, 15 minutes before, and at the time of the event
Ads in search results: appear in…search results based on user's search query.
Reminder ads are available to all marketers, while search ads will be rolling out worldwide in the next few months. Being able to send timely reminders can dramatically improve attendance. Thrilled to see how Instagram’s reminders perform!
💡 Meta Verified is now available in the US, offering a blue verification badge, impersonation protections, and customer support for a monthly fee of $11.99 on the web and $14.99 on mobile devices. Meta Verified badges could potentially increase credibility and visibility on the platforms, although the increased visibility feature is currently only available in Australia and New Zealand.
💡 In the most significant hearing in tech since Mark Zuckerberg, TikTok CEO assured that US user data will be removed from its servers and moved to the US by the end of 2023. Congressmen remained not convinced. Surprisingly, 75% of advertisers are planning to double down on ad spend on TikTok despite the controversy. Terraform Labs CEO Do Kwon was arrested in Montenegro, allegedly carrying falsified documents. The arrest follows last year's Terra ecosystem collapse and $40 billion digital asset market wipeout.
South Korea had issued an arrest warrant for Kwon, with Interpol approving a red notice. SEC accuses Kwon of orchestrating a multi-billion dollar crypto asset securities fraud.
LUNA price dropped 8% following news of Kwon's potential arrest, TerraClassicUSD also dipped 6%. Probably, the only token that benefitted was JAIL KWON TOKEN - up by nearly 130%!
The Arbitrum governance token, ARB, has gone live for claiming, with over 75% of tokens claimed as of Friday. This amounts to roughly 330,000 unique addresses. The remaining ARB tokens will be distributed as follows:
43% to the DAO treasury (managed by the community),
27% to Offchain Labs,
17.5% to investors of the New York-based startup.
Liquidity providers for the ARB/ETH pool on Uniswap have made over $500,000 in profits within the first few hours. The annualized yields for the Uniswap pool range between 90%-100%, while the Trader Joe pool is at a significantly higher 800%.
